The Births, Deaths and Marriages Unit records in perpetuity a range of life events that occur in the ACT. It also provides access to certificates relating to those events.
The Land Titles Unit receives and registers titles to land in the ACT and land transactions. It also provides facilities for searching the register.
The Office of Rental Bonds, as independent custodian, receives rental bonds for ACT residential tenancies, which are held in trust and refunds bonds, as appropriate.
The Business Names Unit registers and maintains a public register of ACT business names.
